Day 22: June 5

Today we had a lecture about Energy Policies for the US, Brazil, and Internationally with a close look at the Paris Agreement and what it means for the world. We then visited Elco Solar, a PV Solar start up company in Curitiba.  They have a new and fresh approach to supplying PV Solar in the state of Parana and Brazil.

We leave Sao Paulo and head to our next city- Curitiba! We are looking forward to seeing and learning about the Sustainable City. Our first evening in Curitiba, we toured downtown and had dinner at a wonderful hamburger place.

Today we visited the Museu do Futebol and learned about how important futebol (soccer) is here in Brazil.  We then to Ibirapuera park, which is a large park in Sao Paulo (similar to Central Park in NYC). We played soccer and volleyball and got to see some of the nature that the park had to offer.
