Day 21: June 4

Today in the morning we went to an outdoor market in Curitiba. They sold antiques and handmade gifts.  In the afternoon we visited Parque Barigui. It was a large park with a lake. It was a beautiful day to play volleyball and walk around enjoying the atmosphere and weather. We saw capybara's, a native animal that looks like a large guinea pig.

We leave Sao Paulo and head to our next city- Curitiba! We are looking forward to seeing and learning about the Sustainable City. Our first evening in Curitiba, we toured downtown and had dinner at a wonderful hamburger place.

Today we visited the Museu do Futebol and learned about how important futebol (soccer) is here in Brazil.  We then to Ibirapuera park, which is a large park in Sao Paulo (similar to Central Park in NYC). We played soccer and volleyball and got to see some of the nature that the park had to offer.
