Day 20: June 3

Today we took a tour of Curitiba which was very interesting! We saw many famous sites. We had lunch at a sustainable restaurant that grows most of their own organic food and composts all the waste. They even cool the restaurant with rain water in the summer and it collects! It was very tasty too. We then went to a futebol (soccer) game and watch Coritiba play Atletico Paranaense. It was a very exciting and close game and our team, Coritiba won! It was a wonderful and exciting day!

We leave Sao Paulo and head to our next city- Curitiba! We are looking forward to seeing and learning about the Sustainable City. Our first evening in Curitiba, we toured downtown and had dinner at a wonderful hamburger place.

Today we visited the Museu do Futebol and learned about how important futebol (soccer) is here in Brazil.  We then to Ibirapuera park, which is a large park in Sao Paulo (similar to Central Park in NYC). We played soccer and volleyball and got to see some of the nature that the park had to offer.
